The Next Stage: He's a Mustang

Caleb Lucero is a tremendous talent who has it all to reach the very top. We were able to catch up with him after making his decision and we wanted to get his thoughts on what's to come.

Q: It's the tail end of your Senior Year, how does it feel to have made your choice, selecting SUNY Morrisville?

A: Relieving, it was a long and stressful process but I'm glad it's over and I know where I'll be come August.

Q: Switching to your upcoming Fall semester, do you have an idea of what you'll be majoring in?

A: Yeah, I plan on majoring in Business Administration.

Q: What's your overall take on the recruiting process? What woudl you say to younger players coming up about it all?

A: It wasn't my favorite process. Circumstances really messed up a lot for me and took away chances I would do anything to get back. My advice to younger players is to train hard and stay motivated. Always try to be at your best, make sure you are emailing coaches. Don't put it off and make sure you are getting good grades.

Q: Now that you know you're off  to SUNY  Morrisville, are you ready to challenge for the No.1 shirt?

A: For sure! I know I have a great opportunity to win that starting spot right away and thats my goal. I'm a hard worker and nothing will stand in my way from being the number 1 choice.

Q: Lastly, what are your plans between now and the first day of preseason at Morrisville?

A: I plan on staying healthy and keep pushing myself to be the best version of me. Just because I know where I'm going next Fall isn't an excuse to skip team training or skip time in the gym. Nothing but hard work and excellence will be coming from me.

There you have it ladies and gentlemen, Caleb Lucero! He'll be vying for a starting positiong this Fall at SUNY Morrisville. Everyone at FCRB are extremely proud of you and we will be wishing you all the best as your journey in the football world continues.
