FCRB In Rhode Island

On June 15th, the U14 boys squad had some time before their fixtures in the GPS Showcase. They were fortunate enough to use that down time to take a tour of the University of Rhod Island campus.

They were able to see all of the campus living, academic buildings and of course all of the dining halls. The young student athletes were able to get a good idea of what it’s like to be a student athlete at the Division I level. Their tour guide was the 2003 A10 Tournament Most Outstanding Player and URI Alumn Coach Perek Belleh. Once the lads were able to see the sights of Rhody, they were able to meet with friend and Associate Head Coach Frank Bergran. Spending some time with him on the athletic grounds will be a memory that the boys will remember for some time. The founder of FCRB, Coach Belleh said, “it’s always been a dream to bring some of my players back to the place that means so much to me”.
