Team of the Decade
12/31/19
TEAM of the DECADE

Kevin Huggins (GK-ASW '94): Huggins was known as "The Closer" for the Wolves in the early part of the decade. Was the starting goal keeper as the club won the Amherst Invitational all the way back in 2010. He went on to star at Elmira College and became captain of the team in his senior year.

Evan DeBerjeois (RCB- FCRB '05): This young man was the captain of the 2005 tean that went unbeaten and led the team to the CNYJSA League title in 2017. His versatility and athleticism are uncanny and allowed him to dominate matches reguarly. Not only did he marshall the back line but he also scored his fair share of important goals. Very Sergio Ramos-esc player.

David Rougeux (c) (CB- ASW '94): If there was a Mount Rushmore of FCRB players, David would be one of the four faces. A silky smooth central defender who was clever as well as tough. A ball playing centerback if you will. Once he won the ball he would start the attack for us which was so vital. Rougeux went on to SUNY Brockport and had a stellar career at the collegiate level.

Kelsey Brady (LCB-ASW '94): The hardman in the club, a player of few words but was a relentless worker and hard tackler. Brady marshalled the back line for the Wolves during the early part of the decade and garnered some attention from some solid college programs. His rise in the club was a special one due to how his hard work paid off and got him so sign with American International College of the Northeast10 Conference. One of the proudest moments for the club was to receive word that Kelsey would be joining the Yellowjackets.

Troy Crain (RWB-ASW '94): Maiiiiiiiicon!!! That's what you'd hear as this hard norse right back would bomb up the right side during any match he was involved in. Troy would get up and support the attack and return to do his defensive duties for 90 minutes regularly! There was a specific match in league play against Soaring Capital where he took over the match from rightback and earned a couple of assists as we went on to win 4-2 away from home!

Brendan Murray( CAM- ASW '95): The first of two Piano Players to make the ToD squad, the playmaker himself Brendan Murray. This lad was one who you'd pay close attention to as he got on the ball. Wearing the #10 shirt for the club, he created and scored goals for the club at a consistent rate. He ran riot at the 2011 Baltimore Mania event as we were able to reach the final. In the semi final he was unplayable assisting and scoring as we ran out 4-0 winners on the day. He now has a degree from Cornell University.

Liam Heneghan (CM-ASW '95): The pulse of the club during his time. The orchestrator, creator of everything going forward was this young man, Liam Heneghan. His precise passing and true understanding of the ebb and flow of every match was priceless for us. He's the type of player who could play in a rain storm and at the end of the match, his kit wouldn't be dirty. His greatest attribute was the power of brain. He was always two steps ahead of his opponent and that was so valuable to our passing game, the core essence of the club. When building a team, Liam is the type of player that every team needs if they are going to be successful. He went to graduate from University of Notre Dame and is now in medical school.

Jonathon Price (LWB-ASW '94): The player with probably the biggest engine in the team was Price. His work rate would never stop and he took pride in always continuing to be involved in everything for the team. Attacking, defending, everything we needed he was always ready and willing to do it for us. He was a player who gave great balance to the team. So reliable, when he was on the pitch we knew one section of the field was always going to be covered properly. He went on to get his degree from RIT and played for years there as well.

Alex Conzone (RF-FCRB '05): Alex, also known as "Isco" by his teammates is one of the leaders in the club today. His steady development over the last five years have been amazing to see. He's worked tirelessly to become a formidable attacking player for us. He's always found ways to score important goals for the club in very pressure packed moments. His pace and his clever ways of creating goal scoring chances from wide areas is quite impressive. He was part of the league winning team in 2017 and we're sure he'll lead us to more titles as we enter a new decade.

Matt Gallagher (CF- ASW '94) The big hulking target man was a pleasure to work with and led the line for the club for good number of years. He hit a purple patch of form at Baltimore Mania where he scored many goals and helped get the club to the finals back in 2011. His growth over the years led him to earn a spot on the Men's Soccer team at SUNY Brockport. The Summer after his Freshman year, he returned to the club and scored the game winner in our State Cup Playdown match that took the club to it's first and only New York State West State Cup Final Four.

Conner Biolsi (LW-ASW '94): THe mercurial winger was eletric every time he go the ball wide. Till this day the club hasn't had a player with pace that can quite match Biolsi's. Conner came into the team a little later than other but quickly adapted to the style of play. Having him on the width was prcieless as it could always be an outlet for us and we could stretch any opposing defense. His pace and his ablilty to strike a ball was so coveted by many Universities around the country. LeMoyne College were the winners in that sweepstakes as Biolsi's talents earned him a scholarship with the Dolphins.

It's been an incredible ten years for the club. We've been blessed to work with such outstanding young men and we remember every last one that comes through our system. Here's to another sensational 10 years. FORZA ROSSONERI!!!
